Local Signing Assistance in Edmonton
If you are buying, selling, or refinancing property outside Alberta, your real estate lawyer may need you to sign documents in front of a lawyer or notary in Edmonton.
We can assist with the local signing of real estate documents prepared by your out-of-province lawyer and return the completed documents according to their instructions.

Role of the Local Signing Lawyer
We assist with the signing and execution of documents based on instructions provided by your out-of-province real estate lawyer. Your real estate lawyer remains responsible for the underlying real estate transaction and for providing legal advice about the purchase, sale, mortgage, refinancing, or closing.
Before Your Appointment
Please have your lawyer send us the complete signing package and signing instructions in advance. We may need to communicate directly with your lawyer before confirming the appointment.
What to Bring
- Valid government-issued photo identification
- Any additional identification requested by your lawyer
- Original documents, if they were sent directly to you
- Any other items specified in the signing instructions
Please do not sign the documents before your appointment.
